Winter Extras

Here are some late winter extra shots of us at stormy contests, sewage infected barrels, and the occasional clean and pristine, classic winter conditions that have been overflowing in my folder.

First Post of the Year

To our followers:

The Brown Trout staff would like to apologize for the dearth of posts so far in 2013. These past three weeks have been spent mourning for the year 2012(you will be missed). Anyway this post being the first post of 2013 we would like to give a big thank you to all the parents that make this blog possible by driving us around in search of surf when IB is no good and for providing us with sufficient funds so that we might purchase the necessities of surfing: a board, wetsuit and the odd Cali Burrito from Sombreros. We would also like to give a big thanks to Serge Dedina who takes pictures of us when the waves are to big for him to surf( check out the pics below). We would like to thank Wildcoast for fighting tirelessly to keep our beaches open as much as possible. (To find out more about Wildcoast click here) We would also like to thank all of our followers(that means whoever is reading this) for visiting the blog, its awesome to know you care. Anyway its a little late but enjoy 2013 and the following pictures.

FOTOS TARDE DE OCTUBRE (porque somos flojos)

Hello...Hi...
We, the Brown Trout Productions crew( Israel, Daniel and I) are incredibly lazy and have been slacking off doing a blog post for a while now. That is not to say that we have not been doing anything. From getting barreled at the new sandbars to competing in the Dempsey Holder and SSS comps, we have been keeping moderately busy. Photo credits to: Javier Mata, Jeff Wallis, and Jesse Hans Haus.

about to fall...

September is the month where two things happen, the water gets slightly colder, and Santa-Ana winds start to approach at the end of the month. Luckily, this time of year, a local spot known for some of the flattest, worst wavves in the county breaks with pristine size, and conditions. A steep south coinciding with strong north winds gave us an opportunity to get perfect hollow, headhigh-overhead-occasionally doubleoverhead closeout barrels. We also got a chance to score some perfect peaks with an early season Santa-Ana at home. No matter the location, everywhere we were, our local photog, Jeff Wallis was there to snap some great shots. So enjoy!

up north, it was not uncommon to see 12-15 set wavves roll through like this and just demolish us.

I'm about to attack jeff with my fins

daniel got to enjoy barrels that weren't brown for once..

"so mushy"

izzy doesn't ever get tired of In n' Out

Although we mentioned that up north it was mainly death barrels, I found a few ramps.

daniel about to show everyone the capital of Thailand.
